Phenomenal crystalline interior
Our seemingly unremarkable Of Quartz It's A Whole Uncut Geode looks like a mild-mannered rock from the Daily Planet... however, secretly hiding inside is an amazing cavern of crystals!
- Pretty much the embodiment of the saying, don't judge a book by its cover, don't you think?
- Arriving as a complete, uncut, unabridged, rock... it's waiting for you to crack it open to discover its phenomenal crystalline interior!
For best results set the geode on a concrete surface, place a chisel in the middle and tap it very gently a few times with the hammer. Turn the geode a quarter turn and do this again. Continue scoring along the circumference of the geode until you see a crack form all the way around, then pull the two halves apart.
Includes one round rock which containing a hollow cavity lined with crystals. A very gniess gift for rock lovers, geology enthusiasts and it is a great alternative to receiving coal in your stocking!
Copernicus Toys - Of Quartz It's A Whole Uncut Geode
I was a bit disappointed to see they were so small. However, it will be fun for our 5 year old granddaughter to learn about crystals when (and if) she decides to have it cracked open.
This geode is exactly as described, the only thing is that the inside (at least with mine) is not a vibrant color and it is not very shiny. Very cool though!
