This unusual effect is the result of your rock's amazing fiber optic properties! You see, TV Rock is actually Ulexite or hydrated sodium calcium borate hydroxide. It was named after its discoverer, the German chemist Georg Ludwig Ulex (1811-1883).

Ulexite results from the evaporation of water in intermittent lakes. When cut across the grain with flat polished faces, the rock gains the ability to project an image of the surface behind it.

Stone size varies. Card measures 3.5 inches wide x 6 inches long. Great stocking stuffer!
